With our #newmealoftheweek series, we have challenged ourselves to try and create a new dish in the kitchen each week to expand our foodie horizons with plenty of delicious recipes.

So I’ve been seeing the TikTok Tortilla being tried out ALOT and wanted to know what all the fuss was about! For those of you who don’t know, it’s this nifty hack where you slice a tortilla on one side to the middle and fill it with four different things, fry and voila! Easy, right?

Below is the ingredients I used for mine but feel free to swap anything out – add extra, remove, whatever you fancy!


  • 8 tortilla wraps
  • lettuce
  • tomatoes
  • sour cream and chive sauce
  • tortilla crisps
  • spicy cheese
  • leftover bean mix (mine was made with Quorn mince, taco seasoning, onions, chilli powder, basil and tomato puree)
  • more cheese (I used Leicestershire and mature cheddar)
  • reggae reggae sauce


Step 1) First cut a line from the outer edge to the centre.

Step 2) Working your way clockwise from the cut, fill each quarter. The first with lettuce and tomato. Second with sour cream and tortillas. Third with spicy cheese and bean mixture and final with cheese and drizzle with reggae reggae sauce.

Step 3) Now fold the quarters and place in the centre of a frying pan. dry fry on a low-high heat until golden brown (about 2-4 mins), flip and do the same for the other side.

Step 4) Remove from heat, cut in two and devour!
